Publication Ethics And Malpractice
Publication Ethics &
Malpractice Statement
Aligned
The UnivColl International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (UIMRJ) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. We rigorously adhere to the Core Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical publishing is a Shared Responsibility. To maintain the Integrity of the Scholarly Record, we have defined clear obligations for all stakeholders:
Duties of Authors (The Creators)
To ensure compliance with UGC-CARE & Scopus standards, authors must adhere to the following strict guidelines:
Originality & Plagiarism
Zero ToleranceAuthors must ensure their work is entirely original. UIMRJ rejects manuscripts with >10% Similarity.
- Self-Plagiarism: Reusing own text without citation.
- Salami Slicing: Breaking one study into small fragments.
- Redundant Publication: Submitting the same paper to multiple journals.
Data Integrity & Manipulation
- Accurate Data: Raw data must be accurate and available for review if requested.
- No Fabrication: Making up data or results is severe misconduct.
- Image Manipulation: Enhancing images (e.g., Photoshop editing of gels/maps) to mislead is forbidden.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships (e.g., funding, employment) that could influence the research findings.
Responsibilities of Editors (The Guardians)
Led by Chief Editor Prof. Dr. Neeraj Rathore, the Editorial Board ensures the sanctity of the review process.
Fair Play & Unbiased Evaluation
Manuscripts are evaluated strictly on Intellectual Merit (importance, validity, clarity). We disregard the author's race, gender, religious belief, or institutional affiliation.
Strict Confidentiality
No information about a submitted manuscript is disclosed to anyone other than the Corresponding Author, Reviewers, and the Publisher.
Decision Independence
Decisions are based solely on the Peer Review Report. They are never influenced by the Publisher (UnivColl Publications) or commercial interests.
Responsibilities of Reviewers (The Assessors)
Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and help the author improve the manuscript through Constructive Feedback.
Objectivity & Neutrality
Reviews must be supported by clear arguments. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate and unprofessional.
Strict Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review are Privileged Documents. They must not be shared, discussed, or cited before publication.
Promptness & Disclosure
Reviewers must notify the Editor immediately if they cannot complete the review on time or have a Conflict of Interest.
Ethical Oversight
